Procare v10
Release Schedule
-
Starting
October 5th, we began implementing Procare v10 in a
phased fashion.
-
First priority
will be childcare centers who have already requested original data
entry (versus converting existing data).
-
We'll then
move to centers who wish to convert their existing data. We will
manage implementation of these centers through the months of
October, November and December.
-
Orders will be
shipped based on the date the order was placed by the customer,
beginning with April 2009.
-
V10 program modules for Payroll, Accounts Payable and General Ledger
will be included in a later release. Centers licensed for these
modules, who wish to convert their existing data from these modules
will implement v10 at that time.
-
Hardware: If
your order included any hardware items such as the Procare Time
Clock Touch, they will arrive in a separate shipment directly from
the distributor at roughly the same time as your software order.
-
New Procare
Users: Your software order will be processed within 2-3 days of
placing your order.

What is your
'Cutover Strategy'?
-
Learning new
things and breaking ties with familiar things is not easy, and we
know you will think long and hard about the best way for your
business to undertake this transition.
-
Once you have
Procare Version 10 onboard, your timeline for switching over to it
is entirely up to you. You can be aggressive, or you can take your
time and become comfortable with this new application, as your
business needs dictate! We emphasize this to point out that taking
time to learn a new application sometimes gets you further in the
long run, even if it slightly delays 'going live'.
-
You may
initially choose to use v10 with an empty database, experimenting
with data entry and learning key functions. You can't know
everything instantly, so take your time and absorb it. Then convert
your data and go live!
-
Alternatively,
you might convert to V10 immediately and run both v9 and v10 in
parallel, maintaining both for a short time and moving on to v10 at
your own pace.
