Procare Server Patch

Procare v10 Download Center

 
Purpose
This patch upgrades the Procare Licensing Service at your main computer (server).  If you have questions, contact Procare Technical Support at 1 (800) 964-1729.

Note: If you're using the Procare Data Hosting service the server patch does not apply.

Check In Computer or Time Clock?
After running this Server Patch you MUST install a separate Client Patch on each computer that runs the Check In or Time Clock software if those computers are on a version prior to 10.2. Until doing so, those devices will not work.

Before You Begin
  1. As a precaution you are strongly encouraged to Make a Backup and save it to an offline device such as a USB flash drive.
  2. You must log on to your computer as a Local Administrator to install the patch. 

Step 1 - Exit Procare 
Exit Procare on all client computers, then move to your server (main computer) to perform the next steps.
 
Step 2 - Run SQLConfig (see note)
At the server open your "Computer" (or "My Computer") icon and browse to the folder C:\Program Files\Procare\Server. Dbl-click the file named "SQLConfig" (or "SQLConfig.exe"). Select "Use Procare Authentication", then click Verify. Exit back to your desktop.
 
Important Note! If you are using your own SQL Server (you did an "Advanced" install and chose to "Use Your Own Database Server") then SKIP THIS STEP.
 
Step 3 - Download the Patch
Click on the link below and choose to "Save".  Select a location on your server's hard drive where you can easily locate the file like your "Desktop" or "My Documents".

Step 4 - Run the Patch
Browse to the location where you downloaded the patch. Dbl-click the file named "server_patch.exe" and follow the prompts.
 
Step 5 - Open Procare
After you have successfully run the patch, re-launch Procare, at which time any necessary update files will be automatically installed.
 
Step 6 - Check for Online Updates 
New updates may have been released since the patch was created. To check for the latest updates begin at the Procare "Home" screen. From the Utilities menu (upper left) select Check for Online Update.

Step 7 - Install Client Patch
If you have any computers that run the Check In or Time Clock software a separate Client Patch must be installed if those computers are on a version prior to 10.2.
  1. Go to the computer that runs the Check In or Time Clock software.
  2. Open the Check In program, Time Clock software, or Procare itself. This will update the client files to version 10.2 and prompt you to download the Client Patch (if needed). If so, answer YES and you'll be taken to the Client Patch web page. Follow the instructions on that page.
  3. Repeat for any other computers that run the Check In or Time Clock software.
