My ProCare Story
My name is Jan Pride, Program Director for Happy Hands Education Center. Happy Hands is a Christian early childhood development center for children who are deaf and hard of hearing or have other communication disorders. Our mission is to “empower children with hearing loss and other communicative disorders to flourish” and we believe we are accomplishing that. Deaf children who once only had the hope of about a 3rd grade reading level are now entering school ready to become successful with literacy and with life. Several of our graduates are now in high school, doing fantastic, and are headed for college!
We use ProCare daily to track our students, our volunteers and much more. It's easy for parents to use, reports are generated that are often necessary for our grant-writing, and our donors are impressed that a school run on 80% donations is able to be so “high-tech”.
Looking toward the future, we have plans to build a new state of the art facility for these special needs children enabling us to serve the children on our waiting list and more. ProCare will go with us to the new building and continue to provide the record keeping we need in an efficient and easy way!
