Tuition Express Processing Timeline

Day 0

  • Center transmits payment request by 3:00 pm Pacific Time.
  • Center receives a Tuition Express Automated Batch Receipt (EFT and/or Credit Card) which reflects:
    1. Date and Time of batch
    2. Confirmation Number-for easy tracking.
    3. Batch Total and Item Count
    4. Settlement Date
    5. Line Items-reflecting each parent and the amount that will be debited from their account.
  • Tuition Express processes the files between 3:00 and 4:00 pm Pacific Time. Center receives Settlement Notice via email. The receipt will reflect:
    1. Date and Time the original batch was received.
    2. Confirmation Number
    3. Batch Total and Item Count
    4. Per Item Fee
    5. Total Fees
    6. Settlement Date

Day 1

  • Tuition Express prepares to credit the requested amount to the center.
  • Parent accounts will be drafted.
  • At 3:00 pm pacific time these files are submitted to the bank for processing. (Note: Electronic transactions take place in the middle of the night. Centers will not see the funds in their account until the following day)

Day 2

  • Center receives funds requested into their designated bank account (Note: Your bank may place a 24 hour hold on your deposit. Please address this with your bank and request a hold waiver).
  • Center receives email notification of deposit.
  • NSF and other Returned Items begin to be received by Tuition Express.
  • Returns are processed and Centers are notified via email.

  • Returns continue to be processed on original Batch due to some parent banks responding more slowly than others.
