Start Your Day More Smoothly with Procare Morning Drop-off Notes

Leah Woodbury By: Leah Woodbury

You know how crazy morning dropoffs can be at your child care center. Parents often are rushing to get to work on time, your staff may be clocking in for the day and kids are running everywhere.

Still, it’s important that you and your teachers have some basic information about the children in your care so you can know what to expect (as much as possible, anyway!).

That’s why Procare Solutions added morning drop-off notes to the Procare child care mobile app.

This feature gives family members the option to complete a short form with specific information about their child’s start to the day, including:

• Wake-up time

• Time of last meal

• Time of last diaper/bathroom usage

• A section to add any other notes

These notes will display under the Messages section of the Procare child care mobile app in a new section labeled “drop-off notes.” Just one drop-off note can be submitted for each child per day, making it simple to see. Notes from previous days will be removed to avoid confusion.

Only drop-off notes submitted that day will be visible and staff will see notes for their room in chronological order from when they were submitted! A red dot will appear next to unread notes.

Let’s take a look at other ways Procare simplifies mornings for early childhood education programs!

Contactless Check-in/Out

Maximize the safety of students, parents and staff during the busiest time of the day with contactless QR code and GPS check-in technology – all done from a mobile device.

Create and View Authorized Pick-ups

Ensure the safety of the children in your care by assigning authorized pick-up people to their account. Each person has his or her own pin and you can include a photo for easy recognition.

Monitor Real-Time Attendance and Ratios

Once a child is checked in or out, that information is immediately populated into an attendance dashboard where you can see how and when the child checked in or out, the child’s assigned room, hours attended, absences and parents’ signatures (if applicable). You can also track ratios and compile daily, weekly, biweekly and monthly reports.

How Much Time and Money Could Procare Save You?

Mornings are just one of the busy times that you must navigate in your child care center.

Tracking child attendance, having easy access to family information, handling schedules, keeping records, communicating with parents, billing and processing payments are administrative tasks that Procare can do for you so you can spend more time educating children.
